Specification consulting for glass and fenestration. We help define what a building's glass, frames and facades must do, then make sure that is what gets built.

Overview
Glass is one of the most expensive parts of a modern building and one of the hardest to change later.
The right specification balances daylight, solar gain, insulation, acoustics, safety and fire resistance for each elevation. A weak one leaves those decisions to the lowest bidder.
Apazone works alongside architects, developers and contractors from concept to handover. We write performance-based specifications in European standards and review offers and shop drawings against them. Through our official partners, we can also source products with full test documentation.
Every element defined by performance, in the standards Albania already uses.
Glass make-up, coatings, gas fill, spacer, thermal and solar values. EN 1279, EN 673, EN 410.
Toughened and laminated glass wherever people, height or impact require it. EN 12150, EN 14449.
Air, water and wind performance, thermal targets, movement and fixing. EN 13830.
Uw value, air and water tightness, acoustic and security classes. EN 14351-1.
E, EW or EI class and duration, matched to the frame system. EN 13501-2, EN 1364.
Attack-resistant glazing to EN 356, and BIPV modules that generate power from the facade.
Four stages where a specification consultant adds the most value.
01
Compare system options and set performance targets with the architect.
02
Write the specification and tender documents, then compare bids like for like.
03
Review drawings, calculations, samples and Declarations of Performance.
04
Check installed work against approved drawings and report deviations.
Focus
Fire safety in buildings is a growing concern in Albania. Through Pyroguard we specify fire-resistant glass classified to EN 13501-2, such as Rapide Plus with 30 to 60 minutes integrity and insulation (EI). Through ML System we can bring energy-generating glass into the facade.
Apazone is the official partner of these manufacturers in Albania. Our specifications are written to performance classes, not brand names, and we name equivalents when a client asks.
Poland · Glass & Fenestration
Building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) for facades, sunshades and skylights, plus smart glass such as heating and quantum-coated glass. Made in its own plant and R&D centre near Rzeszów.
United Kingdom · Glass & Fenestration
Fire safety glass for timber, steel and aluminium framing, in E, EW and EI classes, made in Haydock (UK) and Seingbouse (France). Part of the Saverto Group.
Greece · Glass & Fenestration
Metal hardware and systems for glass architecture: glass railings and balconies, sliding, folding and automatic entrance doors, glass partitions and the NOSCAVO hydraulic hinge. Made by Intermetal ABEE in Koropi, Attica.
FAQ
At concept stage, before the facade design is fixed. Changes after tender cost far more and often compromise performance.
No. Our specifications are performance-based, so any product that meets the stated EN classes can compete.
Albania adopts European standards nationally as SSH EN, so EN classes can be used directly in specifications and tender documents.
Yes. We check it against the specification and list gaps, substitutions and exclusions before you sign.
Send us the drawings or a short brief. We reply within two working days.
