Why specification matters
Most problems with glass are decided long before installation. A specification that is vague about thermal performance, fire class or safety glass leaves the choice to whoever offers the lowest price.
Apazone writes specifications that name the performance a building needs, in the European standards Albania already uses: EN 1279 for insulating glass, EN 13830 for curtain walls, EN 14351-1 for windows and doors, and EN 13501-2 for fire resistance.
Contractors then compete on the same basis, and the building gets what was designed.
