Zippe, a leading provider of glass manufacturing solutions, has completed a significant project for the renowned Vetropack Group. The state-of-the-art batch plant, along with two cullet return systems, has been successfully installed at the Vetropack Boffalora site in the Milan region. This cutting-edge facility is set to revolutionize glass production and enhance the efficiency of the melting process.
Modern Batch Plant Design
The new batch plant is specifically designed to cater to the needs of two melting furnaces. It incorporates advanced weighing technology, utilizing seven container scales to precisely measure and distribute the raw materials. The mixing process is optimized with the use of three high-capacity mixers, ensuring thorough blending. To further enhance sustainability and resource utilization, the plant is equipped with nine dosing belt scales for the controlled addition of cullet.
Innovative Cullet Return Systems
Zippe’s comprehensive solution also includes two robust cullet return systems, featuring their highly acclaimed scraping and crushing technology. These systems play a crucial role in recycling glass waste, optimizing the usage of cullet and minimizing environmental impact.
Turnkey Project Execution
Zippe has undertaken the Vetropack Boffalora project on a turnkey basis, showcasing their expertise in delivering complete solutions. The scope of supply encompassed steelwork, silos, equipment, and an advanced electrical control system. The control system, based on Siemens PCS7, ensures seamless automation and network reliability throughout the plant.
Comprehensive On-Site Services
In addition to the equipment installation, Zippe provided comprehensive on-site services, including piping, cabling, commissioning, and training of the customer’s personnel. This integrated approach guarantees a smooth transition and efficient operation of the new batch plant.
