At its core, the facility will house an extraordinary experimental 30-tonne per day glass melting furnace. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, this furnace will spearhead groundbreaking methods to create carbon-neutral glass, a vital step towards a sustainable future.

To commemorate this momentous occasion, Glass Futures brought together an esteemed gathering of over 100 guests. Among them were Glass Futures members, including renowned glass manufacturers and esteemed university academics, alongside esteemed funders and influential local politicians.
