A distinguished panel of independent judges meticulously evaluated the entries, and here are the brands that stood out:
- Overall Best Marketing Campaign (Joint Winners):
- Made for Trade
- Most Creative Campaign:
- Winner: Whitesales
- Highly Commended: MACO
- Best Use of Social Media:
- Winner: Morley Glass
- Highly Commended: Quickslide
In a rare and unanimous decision, the judges crowned both MACO and Made for Trade as the winners of the ‘Overall Best Marketing Campaign’ category.
Made for Trade’s Triumph
Made for Trade’s “FASTER2FIT” campaign was a brilliant success, aligning seamlessly with the launch of the new Korniche Flat Rooflight. The brand made a significant impact by participating in FIT Show’s innovative Installer Hub live demonstration feature and introducing its brand ambassador, Mark Millar, to enhance engagement.
But that’s not all; two dedicated members of the Made for Trade team embarked on a remarkable 202-mile charity bike ride from their headquarters in Billingham to the NEC in Birmingham, raising over £22,000 for Cancer Research. Ian Bousfield, Marketing Manager, expressed his gratitude, emphasizing that this campaign’s results exceeded their expectations.
MACO’s Stellar Performance
MACO, renowned experts in door and window hardware, not only secured the ‘Overall Best Marketing Campaign’ award but also received high commendation for their ‘Most Creative Campaign’. Their groundbreaking campaign featured the launch of INSTINCT By MACO, the first domestic door lock to reach space. The MACO Innovation Tour, a truck journeying across Europe, made a pivotal stop at FIT Show, solidifying their campaign’s impact.
Mark Enderby, MACO’s Marketing Manager, was elated by the recognition, emphasizing their commitment to innovation, creativity, and effective messaging.
Whitesales’ Spectacular Debut
Whitesales, making their FIT Show debut, claimed the ‘Most Creative Campaign’ award with a show-stopping entry. They commandeered one of the NEC entrances, hosted an interactive ‘selfie’ competition, and conducted live demonstrations of their lantern roof and flat rooflight at the brand new ‘Installer Hub’. Sioned Yates, Marketing Director, explained that standing out was essential for their relatively less-known brand in fenestration. Their ‘We Go Above’ marketing campaign, executed through various channels, created substantial pre-show buzz.
Morley Glass Shines on Social Media
Morley Glass, drawing and converting the highest number of visitors to FIT Show, secured the ‘Best Use of Social Media’ award. Their campaign, prominent across all channels, showcased a strong emphasis on Instagram (Free Instagram Followers), aligning with the platform’s industry-wide popularity growth over the past year. Charlotte Gilbert, Marketing Assistant, expressed their excitement and revealed plans for their 2025 campaign.
Quickslide’s Remarkable Social Media Efforts
Quickslide, a leading manufacturer and supplier of double glazing, windows, and doors, received a highly commendable mention in the ‘Best Use of Social Media’ category. Sandra Berg, Marketing Manager, emphasized the importance of using social media to connect with people before, during, and after the show.
FIT Show’s Director Shares Gratitude
FIT Show Event Director Nickie West extended her congratulations to all the marketing award winners, highlighting the exceptional quality of entries this year. She underscored FIT Show’s commitment to guiding exhibitors throughout their journey, leading to a successful investment return.
A Decade of Excellence
As FIT Show marks a decade of excellence, these awards celebrate not only the event but also the industry’s innovative and dedicated participants. FIT Show remains the UK’s premier event for the fenestration industry, and it will return to Birmingham NEC from April 29 to May 1, 2025.
