National Aviary partners with Vitro Architectural Glass to restore historic habitats and construct a new events center
The National Aviary in Pittsburgh, PA, is a haven for bird lovers, housing more than 500 birds from over 150 species around the globe. To create immersive, naturalistic habitats for these beautiful creatures, many of these enclosures are enclosed in glass. Recently, the National Aviary partnered with Vitro Architectural Glass to secure over 40,000 square feet of donated glass for the restoration of its Tropical Rainforest and Wetlands habitats and the construction of its new events center, The Garden Room.
This partnership represents a vital collaboration between two organizations dedicated to animal care, conservation, and education. By working together, they were able to successfully restore historic habitats and create new spaces that connect visitors to nature and the world of birds.
